goooooogan report

Post by Backwoods123 »

fished anglins yesterday.. caught some nice maks around sundown....this guy was out there had all nice setups, looked like he knew what he was doing, then all of a sudden he catches a horse ballyhoo and to my surprise he grabs his light rod with and puts the crappie jig through the hoos lips and tosses it out there    ... i was thinking to myself this guy is either the all time goog or i missed out on a new way to catch fish..lol

nice gear is misleading...i've been fishing macks down in dade for a few weeks now and i've seen guys with nice ass shimano setups and 4/0's on nice rods fishing and catching squat...then a few poles down there's an old cuban guy with a low grade rod/reel slaying the macks....

money sure helps you get nice things....but nothing beats experience

Probably just messing around, for example jeronimo who I always see on anglins knows how to catch fish well but goofs around a lotand ill often see him doing bizzare things with rigs and lures that'll make you think he's a total googan, it may or may not be the case with your sighting but very strange though
There's no such thing as too much bait!!

I have never seen nice shimano reels out there, well baitrunner at times if that. 4/0 yes, on nice rods, no. A few 4/0 on spinners, yes. Must be the weekday guys.
We sharked fished out there once during one of the tournaments...Accurate 80W, Accurate 50W, International 80W, etc...was pretty funny to see everyone's looks as they walked by. Looking back, we're lucky we didn't get mugged.

i've seen so many spinner reels on baitcast rods...WITH THE TRIGGER!! its hilarious...but about the whole getting mugges etc part...i dunno man...maybe its that i just go during the week and only during the daytime for macks that i haven't seen how bad it gets there...maybe since im new to the game its cleaned up a bit?

worst thing i've ever seen is guys pissing over the rails...but then again...i'm very new to fishing, and to the rick
