Anglins is open, but at times the last 1/3rd is closed due to the swell is scary and every so often a rogue comes in 6 feet bigger then the pier.

Maybe tomorrow morning the entire pier will stay open if the swell comes down a bit.

Per Tommy Anglins is closed for a few hours. Waves cresting the pier and boards are popping.

It will be some time, as long as only planks pop we can get it back open ASAP.

I will post when it opens back up

Part of Deerfields tee got damage but that was yesterday, today is a lot werse. I have never seen Swells like this.

Anglins will be closed all day due to the fact the swells make it to dangerous to fix while they are still coming.

Its this bad here... Lets pray for the people up north, the fishermen out on the grand banks, and hell just anyone in the path of this beast... It is a bout to combine with two different weather systems riding down from Canada and become a behemoth to rival the one that sunk the Andrea Gail in Halloween of 91! Hope the pier didnt get too damaged... Tommy, did you take some video?

Anglins still closed. Watching the waves still break the pier at low tide.

Out this morning with FF73 and Tommy walking the planks to the "T" at Anglins. It was like the movie tremors when the underground monsters were running down the walkway and the planks just rolled out of the dirt like dominos......needless to say I was there when it closed for the day and stayed till sunup watching the rolling swells.... awesome nature but no fishing

Here's a link to a Sun Sentinel article on the statuses of the piers here. It says Pompano Pier should be open today.

Anglins was closed this morning when I was there. No one was doing any repair work. Swells were still coming up thru the planks. I think the Tee has a good bit of damage, but Tommy would know better than I.

I was out on Anglins while the damage was happeneing. Took a walk out at 0430 am yesterday and the pier was fine. Started fishing and had a wave come over the rails at 0500 am . I was standing waist deep in water on the pier while the crest went over my head. Thank you Lifeproof and my Iphone waas toast. Took another walk out on the pier after that and saw the damage that just that one set had caused. The damage at that time didn't look that bad just popped boards and one side rail on the T shattered. I have no doubt that based on the damage I saw that the pier will be back up a few hours after they can safely work on it. I went out yesterday afternoon and saw the waves still crashing over the rails. I just hope that the waves didn't cause worse damage than I saw. It was the worst waves I have seeen since Andrew there.

Planning to head up to Anglins in the morning... Should I be making plans to head elsewhere? What is the status? I only fish the first 1/3 of it, so curious as to the course of action to take...
