John you bet they were delicious!! I invited my grandparents and some friends over for a crab feast one night, and about your question man, they are all over the place and you will have to keep trying different spots because they're never in just one spot, if your trying in the ICW try crabbing in the small park with the fishing dockjust south of the sea legs party boat, when driving south on A1A, pass the sea legs marina and its that first little park on the right that has all those grills and picnic tables, reason its good is that the sea legs comes in and dumps fish carcasses and pieces every day for a very long time LOL those pieces sink and attract crabs like nuts so they will at least be more concentrated around there, if I may ask what bait are you using in your traps??

I don't livee up in deerfield but I'm sure what tonyc said is a great spot, aside from fishing I have been crabbing for quite awhile, tides do not matter when crabbing, the current is what matters the most the stronger the current, the better, as it carries the smell of the bait a longer way then crabs will salivate over the smell LOL!! Crabs will be attracted to new and old bait, I try to use fresh, raw chicken drumsticks as bait, you may not do well your first couple tries, but you will do well later, you have to keep tryying, put several pieces of chicken in your trap and don't give up!!!
