Is the Mullet run over, or not here yet?

Post by Dragon »

Is the Mullet run over, or not here yet? I've been to many favorite places in Broward & Dade, and although they were loaded with Mullet less than a month ago, I've not seen one in a few weeks, even at spots where there are ALWAYS baitfish. What's up with this? I don't know if they've moved on or if they're really not here in great numbers yet. Any thoughts? :(

GONE and GONE. BUT!! There is hope. The shrimp run should be running beginning of Jan. =) Back to the BEACH! Kyte surfers and tourists can have it now... We will take it back soon enough. The run was going on the day you signed up here.

Yes long gone normally through by Halloween for the most part
Dreaming the dream that one day I can be as good as some of the boatless pros and catch some 12 inch mangrove snapper.

They are still stacked pretty thick in some spots here, but shrimp are starting to be the ticket.

Its not the the mullet arn't around but, they aren't getting CRUSHED on the beach and easy to get to the predators going after them.
