Need some help...where to go fishing with 3 women...

Post by Username28 »

My friend Lori, and her Daughter and her daughters friend asked me to go fishing the other day. I have no idea where to take them. $$$ is an issue. They want to catch fish. Anyone got any ideas?

I was thinking about maybe the everglades, or a canal or something. I dont think the pier is the best choice, due to lack of funds and other things.

Anyone got any ideas?

They want to do this, this weekend.

I'd go to Dania pier. I've found that even if they get bored of fishing there is a beach and usually you see plenty of cool fish. You could buy a pack of frozen shrimp at publix and fish the bottom or some frozen pilchards and get action from blue runners jacks and maybe even a snook plus grunts and other fish. Should be enough bites to keep them interested and they probably won't care what they are catching as long as it's something.

Yeah she said they dont care what they catch, they just want to catch fish. But its not like i know enough to really show people, i learn something everytime i go myself. I sort of feel like im getting in over my head.

sea legs has an afternoon trip for 25 1-6 pm... that would be 100 plus like 5 dollar tip a person... if not then the pier is you best shot.. especially if no real fishing will be done but theyd appreciate the boat experience just sayin..

Buy some live worms panfish hooks and bobbers and head to any freshwater canal or lake/pond in your area. Should get plenty of action from sunfish, cichlids, and bass.

Freshwater fishing requires licenses. It may cost more. but then if they like fishing they can fish for a year.

Use Cane Poles and a bucket, no reel no license.
Got to Holiday Park, West end of Griffin road, sit and fish off the dock. You are sure to see cool & weird stuff like fish, snakes, gators, peacock's.... and maybe even catch a fish
