after about a week of cathing id say about 80 mutton snapper with only 7 of them being keepers :thumbdown: :thumbdown: i decided to switch it up and try my snook spot, go there round midnight and fished till 2. netted some mullet first bait in the water got this decent little snook, there were alota snook there but just culdnt keep away from the tarpon ended up goin 0-5 on tarpon... the mullet are definitly here and the fish are right behind them.. :reeling: :reeling:

it was crazy man lol almost every single cast... i even started to use BIG grunt heads and they still found a way to get themselves on the hook..lol

Only 7 keepers for you....for some that would have been 80 keepers.....sure wish FWC had been a little more pro active with a hot bite like that.... but I know over worked under staffed etc...

yeah man nice to meet you as well... and i cant tell you how many times i told people to throw the snapper backor that they have to be 16 inches and they just dont care... some of them even wanted to fight.. but it will all catch up with them in the long run... out of the ween and a half span i seen one fwc officer come out and he didnt check coolers.. lazy... and there were numerous times thaat we called them and they never showed up... its rediculous.. i seen people with up to 13 little tiny muttos in there cooler its crazy

What about tthe piers themselves? Do they have a staffing or personnel to enforce rules or is that something that wont happen?

trust me dude me and the guys that work there were definitly checking coolers and telling people and kicking people off , they just did not care

That's good man, regardless people will continue these acts as long as there are fish in the ocean, for those that are in a position to act on things like this whether you work at a pier or report someone while recreationly fishing I commend you and your effort to protect our waters for years to come.

8) People get away with BS. If you have a chance at busting them upside the head and not getting caught, bust'em up. I am sick of some of these people, especially the Vietnamese. Say something and you get a "Don't worry about it" in response. I will be taking a different approach to things this season after a few things that I have been told.

Nice Snook!!! Where you catch him at?? I live in Davie, fl and i have been looking for spots to catch snook and tarpon.
