Backwoods, where were you that you saw Reds. Don't have to give away any honey spots just looking for general location. Only Red's I've ever seen were on the West Coast.
yea buddy!!! awesome like always!!! you're not gonna find any reds down from miami-broward, but u can have a by catch during bad weather...ive caught over 10 reds at haulover after a tropical storm years ago...but ur gonna wanna go further up north if u wanna get some reds or go to the everglades...can find some in the keys (lower and upper)
Ive been fishingg this spot for about 6 years and ill get between 3_5 reds every yearr.... Everytime im there I always put a rod out on bottom with a smashed blue crab thays what I get them on most the time.. With black drums mixed in... Ive also been to whiskey creek plenty times netting mullet n seen reds.. There around
I have caught them down here thru the years while Pompano fishing. Just smaller in numbers down here with not much size. Usually always around slot. Black Drums I get in the fall. I do like that people say they aren't here.

its a very good spot cuz not many people fish it... and with live bait ull go thru a ton of jacks to catch a tarpon... have never caught a snook there on live bait.
