KIDS FISHING EVENT -- NEED VOLUNTEERS -- SATURDAY IN DAVIE!!

We need volunteers for our KIDS FISHING EVENT this weekend.

Saturday July 28th
3:30 to 7:00
Vista View Park in Davie Florida.
4001 Southwest 142nd Avenue Davie, FL 33330

This is a FRESHWATER fishing event. Volunteers are needed to help the kids learn to fish. You will help tie on hooks, bait hooks and make sure that everyone is catching fish. We are fishing for bluegill and bass. The whole event is catch and release. You don't need to know anything about bass fishing. We will have live shiners and live worms. We will also have of drinks and snacks. All you need to bring is sun protection and some fishing pliers for yourself. The park will charge you an admission fee of $1.50 per person. If your coming to volunteer, rather than coming with your kids to participate, I am happy to compensate you the admission fee.

Now in the remote chance that any of you expert fisherman want to bring your kids instead of help out, that's ok too. Were giving away fishing rods, bait, tackle, drinks and snacks to all the kids that attend. We charge $15/child to cover all our costs. As some of you might remember, we previously hosted an event at Dania Pier. Thanks again to everyone that came out to volunteer at that event. Were planning to get back over to one of the piers sometime soon, but honestly find it easier to teach little kids on dry land. We have kids from 4-14 attending the events. And most of them have never caught a fish before!

We are proud to say that we are now the largest kids fishing organization in the country. We now have close to 1000 members right here in South Florida. In just two short years we have grown this large, even hosting the #1 ranked kids fishing website on the internet - http://www.kidsfishing.org.

THERE ARE NO SHORTAGE KIDS WANTING TO LEARN....
ONLY A HUGE SHORTAGE OF GOOD PEOPLE WILLING TO TEACH THEM.

Think ya mean 7:00 to 3:30. Unfortunately I have My Grandson's 2nd birthday party Saturday, but I'll see if I can't make it out in the morning. Guy's it's a riot and a really great cause.

Hi everyone. The event was great. We had about a hundred people (including the parents).

At the same time.. if you can email me those photos from last year I would love to have them. That was a great a year ago at Dania. I'm considering doing it again... but the pier wasn't 100% accommodating. I'm considering commercial this time, know that Tommy would make things right. Any thoughts????

I think the kid's would love it and you'll have no problem getting people to help. Talk to Tommy I'm sure he'll work something out.

mrogge: Pm me!!! I have a bunch (50+) small lightweight blanks that would be great for the kids!!! I am willing to build some rods up for the kids, Let me know when you are planning on having the next kids event. I will donate the rods, just give me a heads up so I know how long I have to work on them. I got these blanks for a steal because I bought so many of them. Crashmister (Pat) has my cell number if you would like to talk me about this.
