Anyone preparing for the Snook season?

I been sharping hooks, buying a bunch of lures, restock stuff... etc... Can't wait! Hopefully I can get a keeper this year! Haven't gotten a keeper yet. Over slot and under slot mostly

went out to the spillway and i seen them pull up 10 snooks in an hour, all of them were over size, and released

no no you got it all wrong, the smaller one is helping remove the hook that is lodged in the throat of the other one.

.. I have used artificial and live shrimp and three different lures and nothing!!

well tried it again today for another hour with frozen finger mullet with 30 lbs fluorocarbon leader with a circle hook but nothing

but did see a big one but got spooked and left after passed the mullet by him. but guess ill take your advise jettypark28

Okay gotcha!! Already got a large array of equipment including the bubblier and also live bait well. Just need the 411 on the snook. Never tried them before and would like to get one them bad boys. I do know a bait shop who sell live pin fish, wild shrimp and also farm raised. The bait shop is located right by black point marina and its called BITE ME BAIT SHOP. Also waiting for them to get live mullet but they have me on a waiting list and will call me when they arrive. And also thank you very much jettypark28

for being very helpful and for passing your knowledge down to me and I think I owe you a 12 pack lol. Also will post picture when I succeed. I'm also aware of regulations and sizes on snook and don't have a snook permit yet but for now only CATCH AND RELEASE!

Got one, missed one at sunrise on opening day.. The one I got was a shorty. He went back safely.

Was fishing the beaches in Jupiter with a jig.

10 lb test, bloodknotted to a 15 lb mono leader, 5 lbs of drag on good spinning reel. Bingo!

Going again tomorrow.
