Sheepshead Help

Alrighty, I have 10 days left in my summer before I go to college and my goal is to catch a sheepshead. Why, I don't know; I just want to catch one I need some pointers. Most of the places I looked online were pretty vague but I've seen some of you guys have hooked some pretty nice ones. I know they go after fiddlers and other types of shell fish and what not and like hanging around man made structures. But from there, I don't know

If you guys could enlighten me on technique and other vital info, that would be fantastic!

ive never caught one here but i have caught them on the west coast from naples pier. when i fish for them there i use a rock crab or small shrimp.use thin leader! 8-12 pound test and a small hook. let it hit the bottomthen reel up a turn or two. constantly move your rod tip up and down slowly and feel for presure. if you set your rod down and walk away you will never catch a sheepie.
