best rod to match a Penn 650

I have a Penn 650 ssm that I got for pier and surf fishing. I have a surf rod and need a good inexpensive rod for the piers.

What length and oz size should I be looking for? I want to stay at or under 100 and dont mind ugly sticks.

My experience with pier fishing is nill basically. I am a very experience fisherman when it comes to inshore and freshwater so not a noob...but I am broadening my fishing.

I will be going to the central east coast and hitting the re opened daytona pier, sebastian and other like that. Target fish are whatever bites.

I appreciate any suggestions.
