How to: Bailess Reels

Many have heard of bailess reels like van staal, some of you on this forum may even own some. But us out there that cant afford van staals might like the use of bailess reels. I know shimano sells bailess kits for the Spheros, but only in certain sizes. Im planning on buying a spheros 6000 (which they dont offer the kit for) and would really like the advantage of a bailess reel. Anyone have a clue as to how to make it bailess, ive heard you can just cut the bail off? If you know any info on HOW TO: Bailess Reels. LMK

Ok #1 they do make a kit for the 6000.
#2 don't cut off the bail it offsets the balance of the reel and leads to the line popping off the roller.
-The whole point of bailess is one less step in casting.
I-t gets redundant fliping the bail over and over. (some say I'm crazy but I like it alot more)
-Many bailed reels also have a problem with the bail closing when casting hard. I've had the penn sargus and most shimanos do this to me causing snapped off lures and in some cases the lure flying back at your face.
-The only issue with a bailess sphereos is the reel constantly cranks over and catches the line so users have to hold the line on their finger above the roller.
The manual isn't for everyone but for guys like me it is a nbig prefernce.
