Gotcha hooked in to the rocks ... imagine ... happend to me in Pompano and Dania piers ... is it because maks swimming down into the rocks after hitting the lure or it is really because gotcha diving very low? p.S. once i landed real rock piece :) so now i am suspicious, about gotchas, are they so deep ?

Mackerel will be closer to the bottom on clearer days as in water color.

You must get the count down so you do not go all the way to the bottom and keep the plug moving.

it is about a .5 second per foot depth"my guess" so if it is 10 feet I would count to about 5 or 6 depends on its speed of drop and weight and current play a part also wind if it is putting bow in line.
