Updated to here ---- running list of whos coming and what food they are bringing

BF FORUM FAMILY BBQ

Date--March 8th Sunday 11am until 4pm ----There will be a Fishing Tourney between 8am and 10:45am -info below ----food ready between 11:45am and 2pm
Location is-- John U. Lloyd Beach State Park 6503 N. Ocean Drive, Dania Beach, Florida 33004
We will be at the Leatherback Pavillion 1.8 mile in on main road on right side



Park Fees
$6.00 per vehicle. Limit 2-8 people per vehicle.
$4.00 Single-occupant vehicle or motorcycle.
$2.00 Pedestrians, bicyclists, extra passengers, passengers in vehicle with holder of Annual Individual Entrance Pass.


Ok now onto whos doing what and who's coming??

Grillers --- BF's Brother Dougy D- Kblue- and all that want to help we drink by the grill and have a serious social event .
Fryer --- Any takers someone would like to do French Frys and Chicken wings, You would need to bring your own fryer and gas


Here is the list of what is being brought by who

Stuff for the Tummy
BF = Burgers and Dogs, , Buns. Condiments= Ketchup, Mustard, Mayo
Cudaman = chicken from Hialeha
gdm phil = maybe fresh Fish
Kblue = Korean Bulgogi = Grilled Marinated Beef

phillybass = Deviled Eggs
BF= Cole Slaw, Potato Salad
saltydoug = Pasta Salad

Greentide = Some other dish don't know what that is
Greentide = sausage dip
ffishermen1 = Chips and Ice

phillybass = 2 cases of soda
BF = 2 cases Water

Dessert
phillybass = Cupcakes
saltydoug = Pineapple Blueberry Crunch Cake

K r lip = 4 bags of charcoal
Kblue = 1 bag of charcoal
BF = Plates, Knapkins, Forks and knives, Cups

Some Ideas that guest can bring Please post up if your bringing something, does not have to be on the list members like to taste things.

Coolers filled with ice
Soda
Water
Chips assorted and dip
tortilla and salsa
Other meats
Cold dishes like Pasta salad, Deviled eggs, Bean salad and so on
Cookies
cakes
Pies
Whatever you think is good or you like, the more food the better

Beer is a personal choice

BF Tournament 8am to 10:45 ---$20 to join and the money will be dispersed 1st place 50%-- 2nd place 30%--3rd place 20%
We meet at 8am when park opens and I will go over everything and we will check all tackle we start at 8:30 sharp.

These rules may change a little
Rules as of now
Rod 10 lb test or less Mono-NO BRAID
Leader no great then 25 pound test NO STEEL
You can use a choice of 5 Artificial Lures and nothing else other then a small amount of bait which I explain below

You will be allowed 3/?oz of a bait - Bait of your choice - Basically a container stuffed with the bait, if you choose a hook and weight that would count as 2 of your artificial choices.

You would be also responsible for bringing your bait, I would have the containers

If you choose a live bait you would be allowed 2 "as in 2 pilchard or 2 shrimp or 2 mullet" and to be kept alive without an aerator or any oxygen device during the Tourney, these live baits could not be used dead. This will count as 2 artificial choices.

You need a tape measure
You need your phone camera or a camera to take verifying photo unless you choose to harvest as long as its legal. Fresh snook would be a good thing to cook.

Fish will be tallied by overall length and all fish caught will be added to get over all number

Fish must be larger then 12inchs overall even fish with a 10inch legal size must be 12 inches to enter, the only fish that does not have a size limit is LIONFISH.

Fish that count GRUNTS, Snook, Tarpon, All snapper species, Bluefish, Jacks Crevalle, Yellow jack, Blue runner, Barracuda, Margates, Moharra "sand perch", Mackerel all species, Ladyfish, hogfish, cobia, grouper all species, flounder, permit,Super Special -- Lionfish this is the only fish that can be under 12 inches and so they get there inches plus 6 inches for getting them out of the water.

Sorry group.........I thought you would just know that the KOTS is always in for every Boatless event. In fact, I've been banging this new black chick from Jamaica lately that I'm bringing just to show off a tad. Want you to know that the old boy can still dance and my son won't be attending this one so it's all cool. And, of course, I'll be bringing something fun for the adults.

And.............I'm not only am I in the fishing tourney, I've got a Ben Franklin that says I out fish the Grunt King on March 8th. I own that jetty

Damn I was looking forward to hanging with you at the BBQ but we certainly can do it another time.

As far as my Franklin goes.......psssst have you seen those huge baloney fingers on that boy's paws? I'm betting he cant even tie a knot with 10# mono let alone flip a fish. Let's see how he does without the 150lb braid he usually fishes on his 4/0.

as far as food i can bring a bunch of chicken to grill and a bunch of moros? gotta keep it real for the 305 guys here

Kudos to our generous host for providing the Leatherback Pavilion for next week's event. Those pavilions don't come cheap.

So as of this morning I'm down three fish to Shos so I'm meeting him this morning at Dania. Drove down in a freaking monsoon. When I arrived at the pier if I had a bubbler with me I could have kept pilchards alive INSIDE of the jeep on the floor. I'm going back later but all I could think about was having that nice dry Leatherback Pavilion available if we need it. Very cool.

Thank you Sir, as you so clearly pointed out to me a couple of weeks ago it was a necessity to have a pavilion .

So have no worries BBQ Guests there will be a dry place for us and so if it does rain as expected what better way to spend a Rainy Sunday then Barbequing with friends under a pavilion WHAT ELSE are YOU Going to do on a rainy day then mope around the house spend it with us.

Whos going to bring a radio or Boom Box ????

Vman2015 will attend. I can also do some grilling, if needed.

A fair warning to all of going to this wonderful BBQ. When GK gets tipsy he gets a little funny...You have been warned!!

I say lets be cider drinking fools

Just me for this time...My kids had other plan.

I will bring a tray of Korean Bulgogi, a bag of charcoal, aluminum foil, etc.
I will grill it

Yes were good on grills, the pavilion has a very nice large grill and were also good now on Charcoal.
