Rule #1, there is NO overdoing it when it comes to fishing. Those electric reels will make catching the gobies and queen angel fish SOOO much easier... They're heavy hitters you know! @Hjared I am sure someone will bring a battery bank!

Sounds great guys. This weekend the permit bite went off from a few friends that weren't really targeting them as they do but put the bait out. If you were at the right bridge at the right time...it was epic. 4 keepers and all went 4for4, 4 for 5, 5 for 7 and 3 for 4. They said it was crazy and would have kept going but ran out of crab. So, they switched to shrimp but hard to bring them in on 10lb to 15lb. biggest permit was 32lb smallest 20lb. Let's kill all the pemit! :b

We will have to secure bait earlier... Last time late Friday, crabs were sold out in most bait shops and ended up paying $3.
Maybe, we call bait shop to reserve crabs for us? I can pick them up as I plan to go early to beat traffic.

Well I'm going to get there Friday night maybe try to catch one during the night if they're biting that good.
With the outgoing tide starting at 5:30 Saturday morning and 6 o'clock Sunday morning is going to be just right at channel 2. Maybe even hook up with a couple of hogs.
