Fishing Help Ft. Lauderdale to Keys trip

Post by Bama »

I will be in South Fla in late May and would like to have 4-5 good days of fishing as I go from Ft. Lauderdale area to the Keys. Boatless is the way to go since my wife loves to fish but gets seasick. Just need some advise on what would be the best spots in the area (piers Bridges, jetties ect)and species to target that time of year for edible fish.
Thanks for the help....Love the site!!!

Dhid you checck the Fishing locations on main BF site.

What knid of rpds and reels do you have?

This will help me better direct you as to and where and what type of fishing would best to suit your gear.

Thanks for the replys...
Yeah, I checked the site out and will continue to check updates as time gets closer but I'm looking to get a better idea of which are the favs of the forum and where they are so I can start to book rooms. Probably start north of Lauderdale and work my way down.
I got several surfcasters (penns) and some lighter bass fishing gear that all need fresh line. I fish the gulf 1-2 a year for spanish, blues, reds, flounder ect. My 1st trip down there so trying to prepare.
Thanks,
Bama
