Hey,
Will be going to Anglin's pier on Christmas Week. From out of town, so will need to rent pole. If I remember correctly, they rig the rental poles for bottom fishing. Any suggestions on which bait to use? Should I switch the rigging to something different? Just want to see some action. Seems pompano are big this time of year there... Thanks!

You can purchase a few gotchas and or spoons to bring down(or buy them at the pier) with you. You should also buy some leader of atleast 40lb. Plan on losing a few artificials though. That way you can target the Macs and Bluefish that have been hanging around aswell. I don't fish for Pomps so i'll leave that to some one else.
