Lake worth spillway (HELP NEEDED)

I'm taking my cousin and my bro and my dad, to lake worth spillway. We got some St. Croix heavy rods with 20lbs pp with 50lb mono leader. What should we use as bait, how do i fish the bait, i want to make it a memorable experience for my cousin, he never is able to fish and he loves fishing. What time should I go? and on what tide? :roll: Help is apprciated. If anyone wants to meet up we can there.
