Fort Pierce Jetty Park
Don't know if this topic has its own thread but thought I'd put a small report in. I usually fish SE Fl but I brought my gear with me to the jetty today and was in for a real treat. Every third cast was a hooked fish on the artificials, anything from spanish mackerels, jack crevalles, lady fish, heck I even landed two four foot ribbonfish. The giant mullet schools were literally running for their lives and at every point, there was a whole bath of blood a little north of the first jetty extension at one point, pretty gruesome. Tarpons were jumping all over the schools, someone landed a nice slot redfish on a mullet chunk and the birds were diving left and right all day. Ft Pierce has a gem of an inlet, had a lot of fun fishing today.
