Hey guys, new to the forum. Have a few questions.

Just found out that I can take a mini vacation from work up here in Va. I will be there from this Friday thru Tuesday. I see that the weather in Daytona is going to be really good, so we are going to come down and do some pier and surf fishing. I know that I have lot of questions, but I appreciate all answers and I will post results and pictures of our fishing. I understand that the blues are in and that the Spanish are starting to come in. What pier is best for these fish?
Also I want to be able to drive on the beach and surf fish. Is this possible right now? Where are good places to surf fish? I also would like to know where good bait/tackle shops are at. Any and all suggestions are welcome and truly appreciated.

drive to the cape canaveral national seashore south of new smyrna. its a great place and worth the drive. bluefish glorie at the right conditions if the swells and current isn't bad. whiting and some pompano being caught too.
