Cocoa Beach Surf Fishing

Post by HOOKNSNOOK »

Been a while since I have had something worth posting but today was nice. Went to surf fish with my uncle and grandfather on Cocoa Beach. I myself did not get anything on the surf rod but between my uncle, his friend, and my grandfather, they caught 4 pompano , 3 black drum, 2 bull whiting and 5 or 6 more whiting and numerous ones too small to keep. Then, to put the icing on the cake I got a 28.5" snook on an X-rap 15 feet from the sand in the trough. A beautiful day with 3 generations of our family doin' their thing. Of course I had to rub it in and tell them I go for quality and not quantity. Tight lines to all.

Great report , that is what it is all about. I miss surf fishing one of my favorite ways to go fishing.
Dreaming the dream that one day I can be as good as some of the boatless pros and catch some 12 inch mangrove snapper.
