I am planning a trip to Sabastian inlet/Vero Beach area in Jan 09 and was wondering what I might expect to catch at this time of year. Is it a a bad time of year?. If someone could advise me, I'd would greatly appreciate it.
Many thanks

Flounder & pompano are usually doing well in January. Pomps are usually hit or miss, but when they're there a short nylon jig is hard to beat. For flounder a simple finger mullet on a 1/0 crcle hook, 10" of 20lb flouro leader & a 1 oz -3 oz egg sinker will do the trick.
