Fished yesterday from 6a-7p The am consisted with everybody but me getting Fat pompanos and nice black drums. Macks were there for a brief period in the morning but noone was fishing for them. The PM bite was insane. Monster reds on 3oz spoons on the outgoing tide. There was also a ton of slot snook caught on bucktail jigs. fun times

fwc is always out there one uniformed officer and one in plain clothes but if your a reg to the inlet you know who they are by face ....

do you know what kind of jig/lures they were using for pom ? and what is the techniques ? thanks

Redtail hawk jigs are the most popular, i think 2oz. is the size too. On outgoing tide they chunk em into the middle of the inlet, other than that i dont know what the technique is.

These were jigs for snooking, don't know what specific brand but yeah they were using big redtailed jigs like these. Common practice from what i hear round those parts.

Last night SUCKED! One short fish on the incoming. A couple bait washers got a nice fish before the tide change, other than that I never saw another fish landed. Adding insult to injury, I had a guide/bucktail collision which resulted in the chipping of a 40HH SIC (60.00 guide).

Those above aren't mine, but I like pink & chartreuse most nights. White does well on nights when the water is a little cleaner than usual. If you can find them (or make them) yellow can be a killer. There's quite a few people I know who believe it's the profile and not the color that gets the strikes, I agree to a certain extent but I've had quite a few nights where they would only seem to grab a certain color.
