fished the surf and pier along estero saturday and sunday. plenty of slimy catfish everywhere. there were tons pilchards everywhere...was nice to put the sabikis to good use.

Went out to the bridge monday after noon with 2 dozen handpicks and a few pinfish. The wind was blowing, and snapper were eating my shrimp up pretty bad so i down sized tackle and caught 4 keepers...

my dad and i fished the pier from 7 am to 4:30 pm on sunday. on the way there as we went down alligator alley we saw flames from that brush fire. walking out onto the pier i spotted a small snook...

I was there a couple weeks ago and I spoke to a few locals who were telling me that the bait was just making its way back to the beaches and a castnet will do the job....I had no luck with the sabiki.

From what I've heard theres been some redtide down that way.But Snook should be on the beaches try some live shrimp or lures such as jigs or some type of rapala and even topwaters if its not too chopy...

Caught the incoming tide saturday morning. Ended up with 3 16-17 spanish macks, 1 trout 18 (released), and a small blacktip(released). 2/0 circle hooks and greenbacks was the bait of choice. Come on...

Went there at 9:00 got home at 12:00 only caught 2 fish.I caught a catfish and then I moved down the pier a litte stuck a Greenback on my hook and drop it down under the pier BAM!! fish on mind you...

Went out again from 2:30pm till about 9:00pm or so.Caught about a dozen or so keeper snapper about six whiteing 2 silver trout got a big gar beside the pier and he spit the hook .

About a 12inch...

Got there at 4:30pm and left at 11:00pm.The greenies were everywhere only threw my net once had all the bait I needed then a school of ladyfish moved threw caught about 10 of them on artificials...
