Couple of questions. I have been trying (trying key word) to single pole trolley fish off the juno pier. I am using a 6000 penn fierce II and a 9 foot heavy action rod. My question is if the 20lb mono...

1guy1rod....switch to braid, forget the trolley, keep the mono leader with a trace of wire, and just freeline the bigger baits off the end of the pier. Your bait will go farther out, cover more area...

I've only used fish finder rig or free lined, maybe occasionly used a chicken rig; I always use the lightest weight possible of course…but I've notice a lot of you use knocker rigs. I never see these...

Check out bait shops also, normally they sell boxes designed for shipping bait/fish. When I worked for a tackle shop we used them all the time. They are wax impregnated cardboard with Styrofoam box...
